Copyright / DMCA Policy

Last updated: September 5, 2026

1. Our Policy

Tequila & Mezcal Search (operated by Grus Drinks LLC) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement in a manner consistent with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”). This policy applies to content submitted by users, businesses and third parties on the Service, in addition to the Content & Intellectual Property section of the Terms of Service.

2. Filing a Takedown Notice

If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent (Section 5) that includes all of the following:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • Identification of the material you claim is infringing, and information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it (for example, a URL or listing page).
  • Your contact information, including at minimum a name, address, telephone number and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

Notices that omit required elements may not be actionable; we may follow up for missing information before taking action.

3. Our Response

On receiving a complete notice, we will review it and, where it identifies infringing material with reasonable specificity, remove or disable access to that material in a timely manner. We will make reasonable efforts to notify the user who posted the material of the removal and the reason for it.

4. Counter-Notice

If you believe material you posted was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to our designated agent that includes:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, if outside the U.S., an appropriate judicial district) and will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.

After receiving a valid counter-notice, we may forward it to the original complaining party. Unless that party informs us they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the user from the infringing activity, we may restore the material in a reasonable period, generally not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice, as contemplated by the DMCA.

5. Designated Agent

Copyright notices and counter-notices under this policy should be sent to our designated agent:

This contact is provided for notices under this policy only; it is not the right contact for general customer support (see Terms of Service for general contact details).

6. Repeat Infringers

We may terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers of copyright, consistent with the account suspension and termination provisions of the Terms of Service.

7. False Claims

Submitting a knowingly false takedown notice or counter-notice may expose you to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees, under applicable law. Please only submit a notice if you have a good-faith basis to believe the statements in it are accurate.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Copyright / DMCA Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
